Forests of Autumn | Peaceful Skyrim Music & Ambience

The Rift is one of nine holds in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, designed as a perpetual autumn biome with golden aspen forests around the city of Riften. Fan-made ambient videos pair extended footage of the zone with Jeremy Soule's quieter exploration tracks: "From Past to Present", "Sky Above, Voice Within", "Far Horizons". The combination of autumn-colored visuals with pastoral cues makes it one of the more reliable backgrounds for studying.

The Rift in autumn is genuinely one of the prettiest video game environments ever rendered, even by 2011 standards. I've gone through cycles of using this as background for everything from work sessions to falling asleep. Holds up better than a 14-year-old game soundtrack has any right to.
