World of Warcraft - Journey Through Azeroth

Gaming1 track Updated May 2026

World of Warcraft's zone music was scored across multiple expansions by Russell Brower, Jason Hayes, and Tracy W. Bush, eventually with input from dozens of additional composers as the world grew. This playlist series uses fan-made cinematic flyovers of every WoW zone with the original in-game music laid over the top. The format was pioneered by channels like "I'd Find You" and has become its own genre on YouTube.

I haven't played WoW in over a decade but the zone music still triggers immediate emotional recall. The Elwynn Forest theme on its own does it. These flyover videos are basically a way to revisit the geography of past characters, and that turns out to be exactly what I want sometimes.
