It's 1987 and You Stayed Late at the Office — Officewave

Officewave is a small offshoot of vaporwave built around one scene: an open-plan office after everybody else has gone home, monitors still on, the cleaners not in yet. utopic.dreamer assembled five hours of it in August 2025, running chillwave and dreamwave through that filter — slow synth pads, muted drum machines, and the general sense of a fluorescent tube humming somewhere behind you.

The specificity is why it works. Most retro mixes gesture at "the 80s" in general and land nowhere in particular; this one picks a room, an hour and a year, and every track has to fit inside that. Five hours is long enough that you lose track of it entirely. It sits close to what the post-Soviet playlists here are doing — nostalgia for a place the listener has almost certainly never been.
