Every other page here is built around a task, which is why they all avoid lyrics. This one is built around not having one. If you are on the sofa, cooking, or sitting with a cup of tea after a long day, nothing is competing for the language side of your brain, so the rule relaxes too: this is the only page where some of the streams have singing in them.
It opens with the slow-morning picks — coffee-shop lofi, nylon-string bossa nova, the Shire — and Nujabes, who made jazz hip-hop that sounds like a good afternoon. Then come the songs, all of the hushed kind: Low Roar's folk electronica from Death Stranding, the Syd Matters tracks from Life is Strange, the vocal half of the Clair Obscur score. Einaudi playing his own piano in Berlin sits next to them, and the cozy game soundtracks people put on after work anyway come after.
The last few go quieter still: a slow flight over Azeroth, a campfire in Red Dead's West, healing ambient under sixty beats a minute and ten hours of waves on pebbles. Start at the top if you want company, at the bottom if you want to stop thinking.
